Biography

Carleigh Reiffer is an emerging artist born in Jacksonville, North Carolina in 2002 to a Military family. She specializes in hand-built sculptural ceramics, and graduated from Longwood University (Farmville, VA) with a BFA in Studio Art, Craft and Design and a Minor in Art History. Currently Reiffer is pursuing her MFA at Western Michigan University.

Reiffer's work is inspired by nature and mindfulness, with motifs including ruffles, spikes, bark, insects, and mushrooms. Her pieces prompt viewers to contemplate their relationships with the world and themselves. Notable exhibitions of her work include Point of Departure and Working Artist at the Longwood Center for Visual Arts. Reiffer has also had work selected for the Sustain Wood Fire 2025 International Juried Student Exhibition.
